I used Tufo and they were so airtight that they held air without any sealant overnight when I mounted them. I mean they lost some air slowly, but still had 10psi the next day – I just didn’t have the time to add the sealant that day and was surprised how well it all went together. Injected some sealant through the valve and had zero mess. Thundero 44c.

Lighter casing tire will have to absorb some sealant before it is air tight. That’s the difference between tubeless ready and tubeless compatible. The “ready” tire will have an additional layer of rubber that seals it completely. The “compatible ” tire is lighter but has to be sealed by your sealant (i know that sounds crazy but bear with me) and may foam from the flanges while doing so.

I have the same tires, and the same issue(s). For me, switching sealant has done the trick. Used to have Muc-off, now riding ERE research sealant.
Make sure to top off often. The feel and quality is great, but I get the trade-off might differ for others.

I’ve had a few pairs of CAVAS over the last several years and used them a lot with great success. So I happily put on another pair about a year ago thinking nothing of it. They have been nothing but a giant pain in my ass the entire time. Constantly leaking no matter what I do. Have heard the same from several friends who’ve put on newer pairs.
