i have an izumi chain on my bike rn and i had it installed at the shop. i’ve been looking at my chain and i haven’t found a quick link. am i going crazy or is there some other think connecting the two chains i need to remove so i can remove the chain.

Most Japanese made track chains won’t come with a quick link, instead a pin is left in the link on one end, and pushed back through to connect the two ends. You’ll need a chain break tool to push a pin back out, but make sure you don’t push it all the way out of the plate, cause they’re a bitch to get back in.
Is the image posted the correct chain? I have three of them and they all have quick links. I also have a few other styles from Izumi (mash collabs, super toughness, etc) they all came with quick links. The only one that is different is the super toughness. It has a thread in screw for the quick link as opposed to a cotter pin.

The chain comes with a three piece link. Use a screwdriver or/and tongs to remove it. Might be that the shop didn’t use it and just pushed the links back together after shortening the chain If so I wouldn’t ride with that chain.
