I could not fit the recessed nut into the back hole of the fork. So instead of buying a drill and bit, as I own neither, I slid the nut inside of the fork and was able to thread the brake all the way through.

Is this just poor practice (as in “typically you don’t want to do it this way but it will work”) or should I avoid doing this all together and figure out a way to drill the back hole bigger?

  1. It won’t be as stiff, preferably you’d go with enlarging the rear hole and using a longer nut
