You look really exhausted what a race it was can you explain us how difficult it was how extreme it was I mean after Tad attacked well before already it was full gas and um he attacked and it felt like we were in the gretto to be honest every it was just

Dead bodies everywhere and I um yeah I waited too long too little too late you know I think um yeah if I played a bit better I would have been second but um yeah that was uh I don’t really have any words for that to be honest yeah you you

Look really strong today but it was like uh at the end like a tit for everyone like uh yeah everyone for himself it looked like so so deep like yeah I mean we were we were racing as if it was the old old uh parkour and then it would

Have been uh it would have been fine but yeah when you had 40K on and you have 30 dead bodies it’s it it yeah I I don’t think um the result would have been the same if it was the same distance and you know but um yeah I I don’t

Uh yeah yeah and did you have to eat and drink more due to the energy have to burn today oh yeah I was uh non-stop uh non-stop eating you know it was uh was it key today yeah I I don’t feel like eating anything else today to be honest

But uh yeah you know when you when you’re already going full gas for first first 80k and yeah you’re already eating full gas like it’s the final and then you have to continue it to the end it’s um yeah it’s pretty it’s pretty rough but

Um yeah I think I was just playing just waiting and waiting and and trying everyone else letting everyone else attack they were jumping a lot um but yeah I left it too late which is unfortunate Tom 81 km out did you even expect that from someone by the name of T

Pach I think uh well no but you know everyone was just it honestly it was everyone was looking each other kind of uh everyone was quite you know down you know it’s like what what what the hell just happened it felt like we were we were in the group better just kind of

Unbelievable yeah I don’t I don’t really know what to say to be honest like just what the what do you say to him after that what the what signs do you take out of this race because you are on the up and up maybe in a good trory towards these the

Big one day RAC yeah yeah yeah for sure I was good today but you know I was um I waited too long I I you know when he when tday went I was like okay right we we there’s no point in even going here like it’s 80k to go I was racing like

Was 8K to go like I was on the back I was I was not going into the red people were just going off like it was the old the old uh yeah it and yeah I was just waiting but I waited too long in the end

And um yeah that’s a shame but yeah I think uh also the yeah everyone was just it was just dead bodies racing no one had the legs to even respond no no and it was that’s it’s a shame really it it was uh you know if you had if you had 30

40K flat you know then you then you uh can make the race longer but if you had 30 40K of the same sort of racing it’s you’re not really racing anymore it’s more like a and man me thank you

  1. If Pogacars Ride was for the history Books this Interview should be considered aswell. Tom Pitcocks WTF Statement should be printed on cycling jerseys worldwide. Guys like him…much needed these days🤙👏

  2. Simple answer from him always…what do you say to him…WTF….Tom Pidcock great guy absolutely honest with his words…respect!

  3. Tom and many of the other riders have already had plenty of racing as the season builds up, so for TP to win by that margin in his first race of the season is interesting. That was one boring race for the viewers at home.

  4. As a cyclist, you can relate on what Tom says… its a testament to how strong these guys are, full gas at the start and you wont have anything when someone attacks… its pain tolerance really after fitness…

  5. People want to say MVP is close to Pog. What a joke. First MVP will NEVER win a grand tour (very likely not even a podium finish) and Pog already has 2 TdF wins plus twice 2nd. When it came down to one on one at 2023 Flanders (supposed the best terrain for MVP) Pog rode away from him. Clear the Pog is far better than MVP.

  6. Amazing reaction from Tom Pidcock there. I think it emphasises what a great rider Pogacar is. Tom is top quality but his shock at what Pog did shows that he’s on another level to the rest in that race.

  7. In all honesty, the cycling right now is about 4 people. Two of them specialize in sort of one day races, one specializes in TDF, the fourth one is Tadej Pogacar. Bonkers. The guy is a smiling assassin. When he’s having fun, you’re fecked.

  8. I''m glad Britain still has some talent with Pidcock but when Pogacar leaves someone like that standing you really have too appreciate how good Podacar is.

  10. Tom is like Greg Vanavermat ( my favorite rider from Thats era), i.e. he may win some races, but will never have the palmares of the top riders of this generation. He obviously has a talent, and is skilled, but is not the same league as Tadej, Remco, MVP, WVA, or Primoz. Also, no way he was finishing second today, Maxim van gils and Tom Skujinš were clearly better, and smarter than him.

  11. Where's the interview with Pogi with the fella who asked Tadej "if likes the nickname The White Bullet?" to which he essentially responded "not really no, go back try again and we'll find a better one"..

I've a couple suggestions which would suit perfectly. Due to him calling his shot, telling the entire field his strategy, and then proceeding to execute exactly that, all the while laughing in their faces and hardly breathing heavy.. He surely has to be given the nickname Pogstradamus! Or Prophetic Pogi (Ala Conor "Mystic Mac" McGregor)

  12. I really like Pidcock. Such a talented rider in THREE types of racing and always gives a no nonsense, tell it like it is interview every time.

  13. Pogačar always have this kind of solo attacks, most of the time peloton, if properly organized, always catches up, this time they were totally unorganized at the back and that's why Pogačar was able to win.

  14. It’s kind of a joke, honestly. Tadej’s only weakness (and he’s still one of the best in the world at it) are long, high altitude climbs. He’s arguably the best one day rider, the best stage race rider, top 2 climber, top 5 in the TT, top 5 roleur, really good sprinter. He’s like Merckx, but with much better competition. I’m extremely skeptical.

  15. Pidcock is the new generation of riders which can perform in Cross – Road- and MTB on top level . Only few riders can do like Evenepoel and Van der Poel . He is also a very leg to earth grounded rider which makes him very symphatic.
