I recently purchased a road bike that came preinstalled with a 4iii power meter (Canyon Aeroa CF SLX 8). I’ve taken the new bike out for a spin but am extremely skeptical of the power numbers it’s spitting out, despite calibrating the meter
The new bike is definitely a much more aggressive geometry and more properly fitted to my physique than my old bike, but I have seen a massive increase in speed and power over the past few rides (+2mph gain on hilly terrain, +75w on FTP) that doesn’t quite add up, and certainly I want to fix it so I am not fixating on bullshit numbers
Am by no means a top tier or even fit athlete, but I really like to ride bikes. When trouble shooting how to fix /adjust the 4iii power meter to be properly calibrated again, has anyone had this issue? I know it’s left only crank side meter, so I’m wondering if that’s owing itself to more inaccuracy. Can I take it to a local bike shop and are they able to calibrate/fix the meter? Is the meter specifically under warranty and able to be replaced?

First thing to do (if you haven’t already) is try another battery. They are known to read high if the battery is low.
