Now that the Hunter is totally sorted, I can shift my attention to a project for me! Next up is a fillet brazed, sportive frame built by Bernie Mikkelsen in Oakland, CA. The frame/fork have clearance 35c+ tires, and will run flat bars, so the plan is a sort of a comfy, but quick bike for 60-90 min lunch rides.
I don’t own any bikes with a Shimano drivetrain, so I’m building this one up with some 9spd XTR, and then to really lean into the 90s era vibes; Kooka ano brake levers and cranks, White Industries high flange road hubs and pedals, and some turquoise/pink splash ano pieces from Crust, Paul and Moots.
Still collecting a few bits, but hope to start hanging parts this weekend!
