Fun fact I read along time ago from a motorcycle instruction manual. The jam nut is only supposed to be against the rim during inflation. Then it’s supposed to be up against the valve cap. Otherwise the tube isn’t able to flex naturally in that spot and apparently can cause issues

I keep these valve caps on my bikes rear tires. With Schrader valves in the tubes.
