Hiya,

I’m preparing for my first multi-month tour and need a stable baggage solution. I’m trying to be as minimalistic and aero as possible, so I’m thinking of going with a [Tailfin aero-pack](https://www.tailfin.cc/product/seat-packs/alloy-aeropacks/aeropack-alloy/?v=79cba1185463) (potentially with [5-l mini panniers](https://www.tailfin.cc/product/pannier-trunk-bags/mini-panniers/?wccps_c0=40491&wccpm0=1607508688&wccpl=1&v=79cba1185463) on the rear if my wallet allows it) along with either mini panniers or bottle cages on the fork. However, I can’t find any way of attaching them to my fork as it

1. Lacks bolts.
2. Is made of aluminum, while adding nuts only seems feasible on more sturdy and easier-to-weld iron forks.
3. Appears to be tapered, so the [Ortlieb fork-pack](https://www.ortlieb.com/uk_en/fork-pack+F9995) doesn’t seem to be an option either.

Can anyone think of any way of attaching any baggage solution to my fork? For reference, I’m going to attach an image with my bike specs. Thank you!

PS I’ve been told loads of times to get a bike designed for touring, but I’ve been struggling to find any used (and thus affordable) models, and I’ve been through loads with this road bike (aka Kelly) without any issues, so I’d rather stick with her for the peace of mind.

  1. Try Old Man of the Mountain racks and bolt adapter kits- if you have a thru axle it will allow you to either add a rack or three bolt extensions to the front fork with a special thru axle.

  2. SpinToWin360 on

I’ll bet the Ortlieb fork pack still works. If you post a pic of your fork, I can opine further.
