I guess I just have to bring it in to a repair store? I’m not very knowledgeable about bikes but somehow I broke this within a couple blocks of my apartment.
The part that snapped is a rear derailleur hanger, if there is a code on the back of it you can search for it and buy two, one to install and one spare. I always ride with a spare.
This part is to protect the frame from damage on impact.
But the cage on your rear derailleur looks bent, twisted, but you can easily fix that, take the back plate off, out it on a flat surface, gently tap with a hammer, do the same with the outer plate, but don’t have to take it off.

Derailleur hanger
Your chain was probably not in the right place.
Not expensive
