Heavy rain and an already saturated ground led to some flooding in places around Nuneaton in early February, including here on the foot and cycle route heading south from the town centre. The National Cycle Network path known as the Wembrook Trail was blocked at two locations requiring an on-road detour (I’ve made the mistake of cycling through flood waters before – it’s not good for the shoes!)

Have you seen the final version of the Warwickshire LCWIP is set to be approved in next weeks cabinet meeting?
It looks pretty good, now it just needs adequate funding to be implemented.
I noticed this morning that several of the bus routes in Warwickshire that converge on Stratford-upon-Avon were being diverted around some of the villages because of flooded roads.
