What could cause this noise?
I have brand new BB, cassette and chain. It only happens when i push hard on the pedals (and even then not always). What should I check? I haven’t changed the front chainring. Could that be it?

Sounds like the front chainring to me! If your old chain was pretty gone then it could have taken your chainring with it.
It is very hard to pin point the cause of creaking sound. I experienced a sound like yours and check the surrounding components (bb, crank arm, chainring) with no luck.
Finally I gave up and took the bike to LBS and have it thoroughly inspected. What they found is there’s a slight gap in the headset and the steering tube causing some play and somehow making the sound. For the life of me I could not imagine how a gap in the headset area can cause a creaking noise whilst pedalling.
