Since my last post I have completed my cheap stumpjumper build. I changes the front chainring to aluminum, changed brakes to full DeoreXT, got new grips and finally build myself a front rack completely for free! Last pic is the basket in action including some added reinforcements

Nice build. I really like how simple your build came out! Could you share more photos of your rack and details on how you made it?! I want to do the same for my trek that only has fender mounts on the fork.
