I am trying to decide between a 2023 BMC Roadmachine Five or a 2023 Giant TCR Advanced 1 Pro Compact. My local bike store has both available for the same price of $2,900. I ride multiple times a week for about an hour or two each time. Mostly solo rides on flat roads with some slight climbs and the occasional group ride.
I know that the main difference is the BMC is an endurance geometry bike while the TCR is a race geometry bike. I will be test-riding both at my LBS this weekend but wanted to see if anyone here had an opinion on which would be better.
As far as I can tell the only difference with components is the TCR has a Praxis crankset while the BMC has full Shimano 105. Both bikes are Di2 as well. I have seen comments about BMC having QC issues, but that seems to be on older posts. Is this still true today?
The store also has a BMC Teammachine SLR Six for $1,900. Is Di2 worth the extra $1k or would mechanical 105 be fine?

I appreciate any input and comments!
