    I desperately want hydraulic brakes on my Triban 500 (Sora R3000). Should I pull the trigger and buy this Tiagra 10s set for the equivalent of 150 USD?

      Seller says that he rode only 200 km with them. It consists:

      ST-4725 LR
      RD-4700-SS
      BR-4770 Rear and front

      I honestly do not even need 10s, I just want hydraulic brakes, I even replaced stock front brake with HY/RD and replaced old compressionless wires with newer compressionless Jagwires, but it is not the same feel as hydraulics on my Yamaha YPJ-TC.

      I guess I need to buy new 10s cassette, chain, brake hoses, another of those adapters attached on one of BR-4770 on the picture (since my bike has only those wider mounts both rear and front). I already have brake fluid and hydraulic brake maintenance kit, because I bought HY/RD. Also, do I need to replace Sora R3000 front derailleur with Tiagra one or can keep using R3000 one?

      UPD. I purchased it. Thanks everybody for your input. I hope it will be smooth install, otherwise I will come here again :).

      There is the option to go with TRP Hy Roads, but yes, full hydros are a night and day difference. I would go with the Tiagra, but know it has its own spacing so only road cassettes can be used. I heard good things about Tiagra.

      Do you ride road or do you have gravel aspirations as well? If gravel is an option then go with GRX 400 instead, the clutch derailleur makes a big difference on the bumpy trails.

      Are the cable actuated disc brakes really that bad? Maybe all you need are better cables and cable housing?

      $150 is a very fair price for these. i would do it. but are the hoses included?

      I also upgraded my triban rc500 from sora to hydro (105). Just a heads up – you’ll need an adapter for the brake calipers as the triban uses post mount, and also you’ll either need to drill through the cable holder on the down tube for the back brake to pass through the hose or try and use a stick-on hose router/holder (idk what it’s called).
