So in last week’s BMX react video I took a look at the over 40s results of the ride on BMX video comp and my mind was legitimately blown you can watch it happen in real time if you watch the video from last week where the riding in this video contest was just

Incredible I did not expect I didn’t have any expectations and then I went into it and I Saw 10th place and I was like this is 10th Place what is first place going to be like and then first place blew my mind completely there was

A 900 nose pick on a quarter which is something that I had wanted to see for literally years and in that it got me super stoked to take a look at the over 50s results which actually dropped today being Friday I’m recording this for Sunday so I said in that previous one

That I was going to react to the over 50s and over 30s so here we are to take a look at the over 50s results of the 2023 rideon BMX video comp but before we get into playing the video I also just wanted to to give anyone who might not

Know what Ryon BMX is a little bit of backstory here so Ryon BMX is primarily a Facebook group where it’s the home of the older Rider and I’ll read a little bit of the description on this Facebook group just so you can get an idea of

What it is and what it’s meant to be so ride on BMX is basically a group of older Riders of BMX or group for the older Riders of BMX it’s about people in the middle of their life late 30s 40s and so on who ride simple as that it’s

Basically just meant to be a community to bring people together and that is exactly what it is they do ride days over in the UK at some of their skate parks and then people just go in this group and post riding and react to it on

Facebook and just kind of talk back and forth as a community of older Riders and it is amazing I’m sure you’ve already heard of it though so I don’t need to go any further there just go on Facebook search ride on BMX and you see a group

Group with 7.9k members maybe 8K by the time this goes up and you join that group and get in on the community so with that being said I’m pumped to take a look at the over 50s results so let’s get right on into it if you think BMX freestyle in your

50s is all about doing Miami hoppers on your patio then think again this is the 2023 ride on video comp over 50s results so got some right here oh that was cool big manual I couldn’t even come close to doing that manual back flip up a step up

Jam-packed with locations the judges absolutely love the fact that every clip was from a different spot almost every clip loads in here flows along nicely and it’s awesome to see Jay ripping this year because I know he struggled with some injuries check this out here we

Go oh that’s cool j Boyd 55 years old nice wall ride nose pick on the quarter ride up the ledge oh that was cool little hand grab thingy maber there almost almost having a terrible situation with that kid hip tabe I like it fly out three there nose pick over

The spine riding a pump track doing the double those doubles are scary at pump tracks maybe that’s just me but they freak me out the manual from the beginning nice grind oh that’s cool tap one hander one footer like a kick turn five tap without taking the back tire up at all that

Abubo is sick cabin the pyramid hip abbaka and then a mini air in the quarter X up nice nice uh Canadian there that was good that was real good and I want to just check one thing real quick bear with with me what frame is he riding I can’t

Tell okay anyways keep her going here next up okay so top three time top three really really tight judging came down to some real fine margins but taking the third place is the tech monster himself self this guy is in class of one when it comes to front wheeel tricks it’s Rob

Bridge for sure I didn’t even need to hear him say it Rob rdge 52 years old cab to Tire tap Barb bar over Jesus flatland around the world is what I would call that then a boomerang my goodness I love Rob Brides riding nice GT turn stalling it out to a peg Bonk

Another angle on it nope to no footer this time jeez another G turn here to a pinky squeak back into the nose no hops notice that down whip Peg down Peg whip to grab the seat bring it back around like what do you even call that there’s the same

Trick a it’s a cool photo that was cool the nose pick no hander double footed something or another like you can’t even how do you describe ra Bridges riding Neil is right when he says he’s in a class of one because nobody else can do Rob rd’s

Tricks I just have to sit here and appreciate it oh my God he just died oh that was rough I hope that didn’t hurt too bad so taking second place in the 2023 over 50s group is Ry on favorite this guy’s always going big always got rad tricks he’s currently out

At Woodward East this guy’s a beast nice little curve wall ride there foof is that Oppo oh that was cool Superman C grab I like the song honestly nice whip in there riding Street in the dates back flipping that was the flip bar up nice to drop into that

Nice that was cool abubaca to nose pick on that setup there’s that fakey to decade riding some vert no footer on the vert big tabe 510 tap nice and Woodward West mini ni little Whiplash riding the full pipe carving big no foot can on a dirt jump right in a pool hell yeah

Ninja drop that’s a big quarter that was really good hell yeah who’s got first who’s on first so taking first place in the 2023 over 50s group this edit is jam-packed with stuff you won’t see every day from someone who really understands what BMX is all about is it
