Hi All,
I am planning a 5-week tour through Europe. A large amount of time will be spent exploring some of the largely single-track trails on [bikepacking.com](https://bikepacking.com) in destinations like Scotland, France, Switzerland and Slovenia. However there will also be significant asphalt sections. I estimate something like 40% asphalt, 40% gravel, 20% single track in total. My bike will be a XC Hardtail 29″ (Polygon Xtrada 7). Questions:
\- What tyre would you recommend that is the best of fast on asphalt and reliable on single track & gravel
\- Tube vs Tubeless? From research it seems that people running tubeless end up bringing a full tube kit anyway so what is the advantage? Seems like a huge PITA if you ever need to change the tyre
\- It it worth considering bringing 2 tyres? If I don’t have to change more than every 5 days, does it make sense?
Cheers

Tubeless all the way, every time. I’ve had one flat in 40,000 km and that was one which wrecked the tyre.
As for tyre recommendations, what wheel size, rim width and tyre width are you looking at?
Bringing extra tyres to change out depending on the surface sounds crazy to me.
