I have moved to Vienna last year and now since the summer is coming, I started looking for a mountain bike. I had been looking at the second hand marketplace for some weeks but it is just a mess, people are selling department store bikes for 500 euros or more. I want something with preferably at least 120mm travel on the front and a 1x drive train. Size M. My budget for a brand new one would be around 700 Euros max. I was looking at this Voodoo – [https://voodoocycles.com/product/braag/](https://voodoocycles.com/product/braag/) \- which seems just like what I need but they are not sold in Europe, or at least the delivery is 300 euros on its own….
Any suggestions for brand new or if you know ppl who sell used ones are welcome, thank you!

Just watch FB Marketplace and your local resale sites (don’t know what those are in AT, sorry), or watch Pinkbike and consider paying for shipping or going and picking up.
While the market is full of overpriced urban bikes / “dept store mtbs” as you say, at the same time 500€ for a good hardtail will be hard to find. For 700-800 you can definitely get a decent bike with decent geometry and a serviced fork and decent drivetrain condition. But the good bikes at fair prices sell and the shit just sits there week after week after week.
Like there’s a Marin SQ with good spec (Lyrik, GX/NX) sitting for sale for 900,- where I am in like new condition, I’m surprised it has not sold. If that bike were sitting at 700,- it would be gone in a day. But there’s also stacks and stacks and stacks of 5-10 year old bikes in “good condition” with shit geometry, no dropper, and double or triple cranks that people are asking 400-800 for. Guess what they don’t sell!
