Hey!
I’m back with a bit about our time in St. Moritz Switzerland. These were some of our favourite road cycling routes whilst we were out there! Hope you have a great time cycling in St. Moritz and find plenty of great loops to ride.
Hey guys back with some of our favorite rides that we did in summer it was amazing place to train so we were there just as the season was changing so all the hotels were shut so it’s a bit of a ghost town but that made it so peaceful
Empty bars nice empty trap around the lake and there weren’t too many squads around which is really cool Thank you So i thought i’d just talk you through some of our favorite riding when we’re out there just in case you’re looking for a road bike route to do so first off we went down the mallowa pass or malacca pass not quite sure you pronounced that one but you follow the three west of
Samaritz and it just winds down through the valley all the way to the italian border the lovely little coffee stop on the italian border if you fancy something before you climb back up as well as a couple on the way down and petrol stations as well
Just make sure you peel off the three as you come to the tunnel you’ll see it no cyclists allowed but there’s a nice route round short section of cobbles but they’re not too violent and it’s absolutely beautiful really would recommend this just shy of 80k from samaritz and i think the climbing was
About 1100 meters 1200 meters which was really cool so make sure you check that one out another one of our favorites was the benina pass follow it across you can get all the way to toronto but we didn’t go that far it’s southeast of samarita so you whistle down through the valley and
Then you take the right-hander just climb from there absolutely stunning there’s an amazing lake at the top with a hotel it’s obviously shut while we were there but you can see the lake nice car park really recommend anyone goes and checks out bonina pass it’s such a
Beautiful part of the world it’s a bit snowy while we were up there lovely cut climb great surfaces really quiet go under like ski lifts at the top which were obviously all shut and empty when we were there but there were a few tourists about and yeah so peaceful up
There so still and silent absolutely love that one we just did that as a two-hour steady spin yeah anything you could do that from two to two and a half hours i think it was about 40 45k round trip it’s just an out and back again so
Not too exotic if you’re looking for a nice round loop or a heat map you can peel left at the top and head to la vigno that’s really cool into italy you can do a little loop what i say a little bit you do quite a big loop there but
Like i said you can cross the border into toronto then our final option uh we did a 100 kilometer loop which started over the julia pass which was absolutely stunning just be careful because at the bottom there’s a tunnel so you have to cut through uh the town which i think is
Silver planet silver planet and climb out the back there it looks like the road’s closed but it isn’t to bikes you can get through weave out the back of the town rather than take the main road up followed that all the way to the top it’s quite busy climb but cars gave us
Loads of space it’s only say only it’s about 400 500 meters of climbing to the top and then you have the lovely descent down past the lake descends the three all the way through cersei’s and we went for coffee at albula which was absolutely amazing lovely little bakery
At the bottom there if you take a left at the roundabout now you can spin all the way around to davos from there but we didn’t we took the right-hander up towards berlin climbed up the bella luna pass which and becomes their albula pass absolutely sensational the climb is
About 1100 meters all in we just loved it the whole route was 102 kilometers with just over 2000 meters of climbing but the views from the top of the alveolar pass are like nothing we’ve seen so you go higher than the train line goes another option is you could
Get the train out to there it stops at bagoon and all those towns for direct from samarit so if you are thinking you know maybe you just want to do it as a descent you could get the train back but from the top of albula pass the descent and the views are
Incredible we absolutely love the climb there’s a few fountains on the way up at coffee and petrol stations in the towns if you’re looking to stop for anything so yeah that took us just shy of five hours to do the full round 100 kilometers which is quite a long day out
But if you are looking for something beautiful the albula pass from the davos side is absolutely sensational so i’ll put some of the photos on the video now so you can have a quick look at what we created as well as the footage and yeah give us a shout in the comments if
You’ve got any questions and i hope you enjoyed training summer it’s as much as we did because we absolutely loved it You

Nice video! Friend and I are going to be coming back from Bormio through SM. Are all these routes accessible by bike from St Moritz or do you have to pack the bikes and drive first?
