Just returned from a 5 days business trip. I keep my bungees inside the waterproof bag abover the rear rack battery and I locked the BOB trailer to the rear wheel with a cable lock. The bike itself is locked to an airport bike rack with 2 U locks. I store the U locks and the cable lock inside the same rear rack bag when not in use. My house is about 4 miles from the airport, take 17 minutes to get there by bike.
The tempture is about 24F at 11pm almost no wind when I got home, I wore a pair of jeans, waterproof sneakers, thin packable balaklava, smart wool thin hat, FOX Ranger Fire jacket over T shirt. I prioritize packability over extended warmth since this was a trip to SoCal. I usually don’t wear a helmet on those trips since I don’t want to lug one around.
Bike is a Motorbecane EF3 modified with Schwalbe Moto X 2.4″ tires and Velo Orange Neutrino fork. The front rack is custom made using a Wald pizza rack as foundation. This bike is excellent as a commuter bike Incase anyone is looking to buy one.
