Just a few thoughts about the site we stayed at on the shores of Lake Annecy.
So we’re at L solit Dak um on the Western Bank of Lake anae about 20 minutes Drive south of Ana or about half an hour given the traffic um I’d say it’s a fairly typical French sight I mean the the pitches are small um and uh yeah they’ve certainly packed
A lot of people into here and me when you look at the uh the map and see how close they’ve put everything um yeah but there’s nice private access to the lake you’ve got the Fantastic view of the mountains in the background um I’d say it’s okay it’s not
Fantastic um objectively yeah it’s got a lot of facilities um it does a bread service in the morning um yeah it does have Place selling ice creams it does have a little food place we had food last night because we had had a long travel and uh didn’t really fancy
Cooking at that stage and and the men is very limited you know it’s it’s classic something in chips for delivered by somebody who clearly can’t cook um I mean the fish was burnt the um sausages were lukewarm when we had them and but the chips were nice um they have a little communal
Area um I think a challenge with a a site with this many people on it and we’re here on the 1st of September and it’s completely full they have no space whatsoever available um so I’m glad we booked in advance um is that they only have one
Set of facilities so the blocks that’s here serves the entire site now the the facilities are fine the water’s hot um but I think they would have done better to have had a a more distributed set of services um you know half the size do it
Twice the site has a mixture of these Chalet which are are permanently erected obviously it also has a set of um tents pre- erected um you get at one of these quer tents with a with a sort of quer popup awning next to it um which are obvously available for rental and the
Rest of the site is fairly mixed um it’s not terrible but you know you are packed in quite closely to your neighbors and so you know if you want a bit of privacy and a bit of space this really isn’t the site for you so we’re all uh pitched up here
Bike’s off trailers around the front of the uh around the front of the van hidden out the way um so we’ve got the barbecue out ready for doing some dinner uh had a lovely ride out on the bike today did uh did a few miles um although the traffic around
Here isn’t marvelous you know it’s it’s big tourist place so it’s what you’d expect
