Hey. UK utility cyclist here. I fancy to replacing my trust old Globe (specialized) Vienna because it’s 15 yrs old, has v brakes, I haven’t changed anything except brake pads and tyres, it feels a bit stiff and rattly with 32c tyres, and at some point it’s gonna need more work than it’s worth. So… I quite fancy a Kona Dew. The 650b with 47c tyres is exactly what I think I need in Birmingham UK because our roads are crap.
I’d like mudguards and prop stand, which leaves Dew deluxe or Dr Dew.
2022 Dew Deluxe is like £579. Decent. Could just about leave that outside a pub.
I’d love a steel frame from a romantic perspective…but at £1200 ish even on sale it’s loads more money. I’d get in trouble with the Mrs. And I’d hate to leave it outside a pub.
Weight is another thing as well I guess. Bit hilly round my way.
So…for a utility pub going cyclist…Kona Dew expensive, or cheap ?
