He ordered a Brooks Messenger bag over the phone from a shop I worked at. Wish I would have been the one to answer that call.

Had the opportunity to meet and speak with him a few times.
I was a bartender in a boutique hotel where he stayed at and an avid cyclist.
Part of his ‘needs’ list was to have, at the time, the revolutionary FORTIOUS TRAINER installed in his suite. It was way too expensive for my income, still is. Haha
I asked him a question and he was quite excited to learn that I didn’t care about why he was in town or what he was filming, but that I was interested in his trainer. He offered to take me to his suite and ‘check it out’. Very cool indeed. I got permission from MGMT provided there were NO PHONES present. It was a very very cool day for me indeed. He even offered me the opportunity to ‘try it out’. Sadly I declined! I’m 6’5” 215lbs. There’s no way that I’d fit on his bike and there’s no way I was going to damage his bike either. It was a TREK OCLV from back in the day.
He even remembered my name throughout his stay with us.
I’ll never forget that day or the experience of having the chance to talk BIKES with him.
He was PURE CLASS!!
