Pretty new to working on bikes.
Recently bought a 92’ Trek 950 single track and have been having trouble adjusting the rear derailleur. There is a little bit of chain-frame rub when on the smallest rear cog. Since I’ve never worked on this bike before I want to rule out the hanger giving me any problems with my shifting. Both rear dropouts are pretty parallel, so I’m not sure if that slight curve is supposed to be there.

Unless the hanger is *very* bent it’s difficult to tell without a gauge, especially in a picture. Take it to your local shop or co-op and measure it.
