I’m currently looking at 2 bikes that are my size and within my extremely low budget. I have no experience with bicycles but I am starting triathlon and I’m just looking for advice as to which would be the best option between the two bikes below. I’m from South Africa so I’ll put the prices in South African Rand.
Option 1. Aluminium Giant Defy 3. Sora Groupset. Price: R2800 ($147, £117)
Option 2. Carbon Look KG286 Team. Dura-ace Groupset. I think this bike is from the late 1990’s, so it’s obviously old carbon. Price: R5000 ($263, £209)
