My Canyon grizl has screws in top tube to mount a bag. I like the idea of easy access to snacks but don’t want to be stuck to having to unscrew a bag if want to remove it. Fidlock sells bags that use their magnetic system which I already love for my water bottles.

Has anyone tried to mount a fidlock bag to the top tube?
Any other suggestions?

I’m using a Topeak QR Cagemount to mount the top tube bag of my choosing to the top tube mounts on my frame.

That bag looks pretty neat! My only concern would be that it seems to be made for bottle cage mounts inside the frame, it looks like the mount is pretty far back on the bag so you’d have to make sure the bolts on your grizl are far back enough to give clearance to the steerer tube.
I’ve got nothing but good things to say about Fidlock though, I love all my bottles and their mounting system is bulletproof. That bag wouldn’t go anywhere, I’m pretty sure I could pick my bike up via one of the bottles and the mounting system would probably rip out of the bottle before the actual mechanism failed!
I took a bolt on top tube bag, purchased the medium Fidlock bolts, and female screw snaps online, and went to work. I cut out the bottom of the bag to fit the female screws (it is a large diameter cutout) and attached them. Been running this for a few years and have no regrets.

Apidura experimented with the concept but it never went into actual production – and it wasn’t the waterproof model, just water resistant, so while I liked the idea it wasn’t for me.
Idk that I remove the bag from my top tube more than 1/year. Seems like an extra point of failure/weight that could be simplified.
Are you putting a bag on/off very often?
