Built this up for next to nothing, wanting a bike that I like to ride but also don’t mind leaving in a rack. Problem is I like riding this a little too much…

When you are starting looking for an other one to be a beater because you like the current beater too much.

When you spend enough on parts and upgrades that the value of the bike now means you no longer treat it like a beater. As soon as I get to the point that I have to think twice about where and when I lock up my bike (within reason) I know I’ve crossed the threshold. Nice build, by the way!

To answer your question, when your beater is a stump jumper then it’s no longer a beater.
