I’m a single working mom with a deep love for cycling. It’s my escape, my therapy, and a big part of how I stay grounded. However, as much as I drool over the sleek designs and quality of brands like Rapha, ASSOS, LeCol, and Castelli, their price tags are just way beyond my reach right now. As much as I’d love to kit myself out in their latest collections, my budget screams a resounding “No!”

I’ve been scouting around for quality cycling gear that won’t break the bank but still offers some of that high-end feel and performance. I stumbled upon some options on Amazon that seem promising, but before I take the plunge, I’d love to get your opinions.

I’m especially interested in hearing about your hidden gems and personal favorites. Whether it’s jerseys, bibs, or accessories, I’m all ears. My goal is to look and feel great on my rides, keeping up with the cycling style without emptying my wallet.

Thanks in advance for sharing your go-to brands and tips. This community has always been a fantastic source of advice and support, and I can’t wait to hear your suggestions.

    Ride on,
    Jen 🚴‍♀️💖

I can’t speak for Baleaf – I’ve been seeing people wear their stuff running and to yoga. I’ve seen on occasion their cycling stuff.

The budget brand I really like – Neopro. The stuff pulls above its weight. Do be warned, their bibs are unisex.

  3. Cant comment on bibs for woman, but other than Assos and Rapha do have sales. Seen some pretty deep discounts on Gore (they make a lot of good stuff, boring but good) and Pearl Izumi (used to make really good stuff, havent tested in few years).

Some of the really low end are just too “you get what you pay for”. In a sense that padding materials etc keeps you yearning for better options.

UK online sellers are in bad financial situation, those could be a good source? Some sites are offline now but to my understanding taxes and freights between US and UK are favourable.
