Stage #2 of my Bike Packing trip from Italy to UK in 8 days.

Andermatt in Switzerland to Bregenz in Austria, 171km

The Rheine Rad Weg Eurovelo 15 starts at the top of the Oberalp Pass, so too does the Rheine River, commencing from its source at the Oberalpsee. The route closely follows the Swiz Rad weg 2 east towards Chur then North towards Liechtenstein and then the Bodensee, where I camp.

A stage mainly of technical descents, abrupt climbs and then wide open cycle ways on the banks of the Rheine.

  1. Great video as always. I presume you cannot make it to join us on LEJOG. Currently we are in Pitlochory. The logistics to get back from John O'Groats are frankly awful so I council strongly on doing some research if you still intend to come along. The trains are a nightmare and we can't find anything back from Inverness, that includes space for bikes, till the 12th of June. We will probably end up boxing the bikes up, sending them home by DHL, and getting a normal ticket back to London!! Happy cycling 🙂
