In Fall 2023 Steve and I spent 71 days mostly on four cruises including two Transatlantic crossings bound for the northern Mediterranean region where we did fabulous easy scenic bike tours at as many ports as we could, or else explored on foot, in Bermuda, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Albania, Croatia and Turkey. This video set to regional music is an expanded version of the previous video, with additional time per slide and more subtitles. Pickleball was available on the Carnival and Holland America ships, and we were able to play in every country except France since Celebrity and Norwegian had no court. The guided excursions were the result of extensive research of activities available at or from the ports, which were much cheaper than the cruise ship excursions, booked either directly or with Viator or GetYourGuide. We tended to sample the local gelato whenever we could, and really enjoyed eating local cuisine for lunch. The weather cooperated brilliantly, and we had the trip of a lifetime. We never even got tired at gazing at the sea on the ocean crossings.
