Here’s my bike yesterday with a flat tyre while out on a ride.
People are telling me I should buy a new bike, but I like my bike, I’ve had it 34 years.
Is it okay to keep riding these old bikes? It wasn’t ridden much for twenty of these years.
The brake caliper ( weinmann 570) did break a few weeks ago, just snapped in half. I had huge problems sourcing a new one that fitted, in end got a second hand one from a community bike shop. Anyone know if a modern brake caliper replacement. It is centre mounted, side pull, with a big drop about 60 mm.
