During the Parana State Velocross Championship, Gabriela Valentini would suddenly go over her handlebars and slam into the ground on a turn, the bike then flew and hit her, she died shortly after been taken to the hospital.

I slowed it down to .25 speed and replayed it over and over. I can't see how she crashed, it makes zero sense. it's almost as if there were an invisible cable across the course that caught her front tire. IDK.

The front brake cable obviously came loose and got snagged by the front tire, causing such a end over flip. Tragic.

The front breaks somehow failed. I saw a similar video where a guy left the bike shop and his front breaks locked up. Not pleasant having this in the back of your mind.

Looked like a scorpion, at the neck instead of the back. Guessing she died instantly or at least was unconscious then died? Pretty gnarly, but that is what can happen in our sport.
