I just received a pair of MAAP bib shorts in the colour Fog. Not sure if I should size up due to transparency issues. I am right at the top of the medium and the lowest size for large. Noticed while trying on for the first time my underwear is visible while they are on but due to hygienic reasons don’t want to try them without to see what shows. Will sizing up to a large make a big difference in the transpancy issues?

Bro, fog is right. Looks like transparent through a bit of fog. Imagine what it looks like in full sun with a little sweat.
The way to test transparency is to examine with an ultra-bright flashlight to mimic bright sunlight. In a dressing room or room with normal levels of light, you won’t be able to do a proper assessment.
Definitely no value in sizing up. The size diff between a medium and large once they’re on will feel minimal.
As for colour tho – personally I only wear black bibs. Go with everything. But i don’t think you’ll have transparency issues
