I’ve had my Fx2 for close to 5 years now and besides the gearing, I’ve been satisfied with it.
Ideally I’m looking for something a little different. I would love to try my hands at a gravel-like dropbar bike, but still with all the necessary accessories for commuting to work each day.
I would only be riding about 20km each day on it.
My budget is around 1500$. I live in Scandinavia, so some brands might not be that easy to get here or cheap for that matter (looking at you surly).
I was actually considering the Fuji Touring. It looks like a fun ride, sturdy and like a great commuter/transporter of goods.
But other than this specific example, it’s just a jungle to me. I was also thinking another Trek bike. Maybe a Domane Al 3 or something? But would that work with rack and fenders?
I will say that it is important to me, that it has a rack. And that I can a pannier with me.
But when that is done, I prioritise a great ride. Speed is not everything to me, but as someone that does everything in the last second, it matters to me how fast I get from A to B.
