Quité uno de los espaciadores del manillar y la rosca de apriete lateral se rompió antes de llegar a los 12Nm con la propia llave dinamométrica de Canyon.
Hablé con Canyon y me van a mandar el repuesto, pero al principio querían que yo lo pagase diciendo que era de desgaste, obviamente me negué y me lo han tramitado de manera gratuita.

¿Le ha pasado a alguien más?

  1. I have to use translator hehe. But yeah, if you search this subreddit, it has happened to quite a few people. I am one of them. In my case, the bolt was seized and would not turn at all. It’s like this when it’s delivered.Probably it didn’t have enough/or any grease when it’s assembled.

    I took it to a Canyon service partner bike shop and they broke some tools but got it out. Canyon sent me the replacement part for free (I was still in the 30-day period if that matters), and covered the labor.

    So I think this is a very risky design but for this time Canyon has treated me well I won’t complain. It could happen to anyone whose bolt is dry or cross threaded.

    Rounding a bolt / head is pretty common when performing maintenance. You can try to glue something to the screw to get it out
