Not secured to the fork yet but I know that won’t change the clearance. I previously had 2.1s on my Genesis Vagabond and the clearance was only just enough for this rack. Any advice? Or do I just need a different rack?
It looks like there’s still adjustment left on the side thingy to move it up. Just slide those side mount things all the way down.

Sure looks like a problem solvable by making new brackets for the dropout.

Looks like you still have space for adjustments honestly. Also try flipping and spiinng brackets around and you may be able to add some height this way. Mounting them upside down might pull the rack positioning up.

Try flipping the mounting brackets upside down and swapping L/R. Might give you more height if the brackets are angled, hard to tell from the pic though.
Option 1 (10/10 safe, least immediate): Contact Surly about this for assistance
Option 2 (9/10 safe, most immediate): Dremel/file the lowest slot longer in order to slide the axle bracket lower.
Option 3 (8/10 safe do this if you’re bored): Unbend and rebend the axle bracket so it reaches lower. Practice with a paper template of the bracket to finalize the new bends.
