I really need some help “weighing up” if I’m going to feel a benefit from either of these wheelsets vs my stock wheelset.
I have a Stigmata that came with DT Swiss XR361 rims on i9 1/1 hubs, I calculated the build to weigh about 1608g which seems very light so I could have made a mistake.. The calculated weights of the light bicycle wheelsets comes out to 1541g for the WG44 and 1521g for the WR40 both with cx ray spokes on i9 torch hubs. Less than 100g saved on either option seems like I could be heading for disappointment..
Would there be a benefit to these wheels or should I look for a more premium option and keep saving!? I am already getting to the top end of my budget and have some requirements that are ruling out a lot of wheelsets on the market.
Firstly I’m a heavier rider 98kg/220lbs at 6’7” and like to ride some rooty trails so need a high weight limit so this is limiting options. I’d also like a wide inner rim 25mm minimum with some depth to get some aero gains on fast road sections getting to the trails.
Any advice on thoughts on what would be a good option for me or alternative options?

Essential no difference except making your wallet a lot lighter for a 100g. The law of diminishing returns.
There is zero chance you notice a 100g saving on your wheels.
Pour 100g of water out from your bottle and you have the same effect!
All due respect (I’m a big guy too), at your size durability is going to matter a lot more than 100 grams.
Berd spokes could help you reduce weight without compromising anything else other than your wallet.
But at the end of the day, wheels are the most expensive place to pick up aero gains. Buy some aero socks or a properly fitted aero jersey. With your frontal area, a jersey is gonna have a much bigger effect.
