I got a little nutty on eBay and ordered these close to original tires for my 1985 Peugeot PGN 10. I wonder how these will perform? Pic of them on the bike to follow! One was from Texas and one was from Australia!!!
700×20 is intense. Definitely curious to know how such narrow tires hold up over the years.

Does the rubber not fall apart even just sitting?

If they work they work! Something I do to keep my tires from dry rotting (new and old) is to rub some Meguiars rubber and plastic restore on them. 3 years in and seems to be working

I’ve been biking seriously for over 50 years. (Got my first 10-speed in 1971). The one thing that has improved the most in those 50 years is tires. It’s by far the biggest change in cycling, nothing comes close. Not carbon frames, not 11-speed index shifting, not disc brakes. Tires.
I would never go back to 1985 tires.

I have 2 of these in my closet in the same box right now! lol. They came with an ’88 Cinelli I bought a few years ago.

I was road racing in northern California in the mid 80s and those were practically the only tires I used. I remember they cut pretty easily but were reasonably flat resistant. I’d totally ride those again. Killer tires!

Where did you find them OP? Trying to source 19 or 21 gun wall for my old steel frame centurion bike
