Background: this is the first, and only bike I’ve ever bought, in 2005, a Specialized Allez Elite.
In 2019 I sold my truck in favor of using a cheaper more sustainable form of travel, and figured instead of buying a new bike I’d try and make my old road bike work as long as it would hold up. 5 year and about 20,000 miles later and we’re surprisingly still going strong.
Since I know people are going to ask: The front two bags are for weather gear and work shoes (if I’m not going to/from work I don’t use these bags), and I use one of the bags to hold work supplies when I’m working. The back two bags are for groceries I pick on the way home. Handlebar bag usually holds my keys, wallet, phone, camera batteries, pepper spray, and maybe some extra cold weather gear depending on the season. I’d rather have too much space than too little, and this totally works for me.

I used to have a milk crate in the back.
But i took it off for weight purposes, since my commute involves a mile uphill (no ebike yet, just spin those pedals)
If where I live is more flat, I’ll have a crate+ 2 pannier.
Owns.
I was going to ask about the two bluetooth speakers🤣
I have the same bike! But hanging from my garage ceiling. What rims and tires are you using now? Any other upgrades you recommend?
