Looks like the cable has been pulled too far, it should be easy to get it sorted.
The brake cable has an inner steel part and an outer black casing. You’ll see that the outer part has too much length next to the brake and underneath the pedal axle (called the bottom bracket).
It should be possible to pull it through the attachment points that hold the cable to removed those loopy sections. That will give more slack closer to the front of the bike. Just keep pulling the cable through until it seems to fit at both ends.
Then you can see what’s going on at the handlebar and brake lever. I can’t quite see from the pics, but you’ll probably have to undo that slotted shiny part the cable goes into, to reconnect the end of the cable inside the lever.
