Looks pretty difficult to put fenders on there. I’d get something you can put fenders on.

I think even $350 is too much but the used bike market may be tougher where you are than me. I suspect you would have trouble fitting tires over 25mm wide and those wheels don’t inspire confidence if you will be encountering unavoidable potholes on your commutes. It also looks bigger than a 54 cm frame.

If there is nothing else in ur area and you have to get a bike this week, that’s the only way I would do more than $175-$200 on the Cannondale. It’s got a mid level group set and it’s color doesn’t do anything for it’s value. I would offer something like $200 tops. *** Again, if that’s all you can find in ur area and it’s the right size, you may have to pay a bit more but value wise, it’s way to high.

I really don’t care a out the DA-shifters when the RD is TIAGRA and the rest is 105. If it was a DA RD we could talk 😀.

$250 – 200 max for this. I have a similar bike and isn’t that good for commuting unless you go long distance with good asphalt roads, hard to put on fenders and a rack is going to be expensive AF, and not so good in the winter, comfort depends on personal preference.
i got my GF a gravel bike with a rack, WTB tour gravel tires, SLX group with granny gear, and fenders, would recommend this instead if you like dropbars, if not then go with something with a rack + fenders + deore xt and marathons, should be within budget. I have that on my commuter and it basically flies to work while being very comfortable to ride, I have ridden up to 80km in a day on it.

Not an ideal commuter. Wheels are too dainty and no attachment points points for fenders or a rack. I went with a bike like this in 2008 but bought a much sturdier commuter after three years. That was a long time ago. No idea what prices are like new or used these days. Nothing wrong with 105 components and the rear derallier is even less of a worry. It’s not the worst price though I’d change the wheels first.
The big chain ring is looking worn, too.

I used to use my CAAD4 as a commuter/get around the city bike. Mine is the Saeco team edition with stars and stripes paint job. These things ride HARD and FAST and handling feels like an F1 car. Pot holes will not feel good, and the frame won’t really let you get away with tires wider than 25 (approx), but I always had fun zipping along and dodging the cracks.
I had an axiom rack mounted with p clips with a milkcrate. Handled like a jet ski towing a barge when loaded up.. took some getting used to.
Can’t comment on the used bike market in your area.

decent bike, but as others have said, 250 would be full price and it’s not a great commuter.

Depending on ur weight & the condition of the roads/bike lanes/terrain in ur city Id be looking for a Cannondale tourer
