Inviting me today and organizing this event um so hi everyone I am sataki representing lafra University in India and today I’m going to talk about the university our achievements over the decades that we have our gold rated academics and obviously the scholarships that we have to off for the SE intake so
I’m going to quickly pull up my presentation and share you my screen so that we can initiate um the slides so we are a world renowned top rank top 10 rank UK universities we are public resource based universities in UK and we are located in East Midlands in a
Town called Lester Shire and it’s very very close to Lester Derby and Nottingham the closest airport along with us is Birmingham which is an hour away from lafra we do have another campus which is in London which is built on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park which is very very close to STAAR uh
International and this is how the campus looks like it’s 523 Acres of lush green Campus with amazing amazing facilities in terms of sport Sports and other activities that the student might be interested in uh because we houses around 100 plus clubs and societies so everybody finds something that suits
Their interest area and this is how our London campus looks like which is uh located towards the east part of London and just to understand what we are good at and what we are known for so we are world’s best university in sports we are ranked number one for
Consecutively six times through Qs World subject ranking and our team has contributed around 20% of medals into great pitten uh Team medals for Tokyo Olympics and we are straightaway champions of British University and college sports for 41 years running now and we do provide 500 hours of pre-
Recreational Sports to all our students and our coach and volunteering Academy is highest record Level Sports volunteering Academy in the country and these are few of the internationally deled players that have been an alumini with lra So Adam PT have been associated with lra for almost 10
Years now Sam Bing studied uh you know Masters in uh Sports and exercise uh Sciences with us ADI Johan studied sports management with our laa London campus and just to guess n shra was also at lafra and he practiced for almost nine weeks at lafa Campus before joining the
Olympics when we talk about uh ranking we are an Elite Class rank University and we are ranked within top 10 UK universities in all the ranking tables that we have and this is very very prestigious for a university to have all the courses ranked globally within top
100 or 150 um you know departments so we have our courses under Sports and sports related subject which are ranked first according to Qs world ranking Art and Design courses rank 32nd globally and second in UK engineering uh and mechanical courses do rank 62nd globally we have media and communication
Architecture and civil engineering ranked between 51 to 100 across the ranking tables and we have business and management ranked around 135 globally when we talk about employer reputation as you can see we score far better than few of the RAS grp universities so we have very very strong connection and reputation with the
Employers and the industry moving on to what are unique selling points uh is obviously Sports and employability when we talk about sports based on performance participation and academics and when I’m talking about employment we are ranked uh first in UK for employer and graduate prospects or all 85% of graduates do go
Into employment Within months of you know completion of their studies and we do offer all the undergraduate courses with an option of Industry placement for a a and obviously the student experience because we have three times winner of University of the Year award and we are
Rank we are ranked second in England for student satisfaction as per NSS 2021 ranking just let us know a bit more about the I think there was some issue so let us know more about the university we do offer um all the courses across 10 of your departments
Except law and Medicine we have all the courses across the industrial ranges and when I talk about the entry requirements for PG we do follow Indian NF ranking and 65% is what we consider as first class for honors degree and 60% for upper second class and 55% for lower
Second class all other institution might be autonomous or team to be institution we uh classify 70% as first class honors 65% for upper second class and 60% for lower second class honors and for undergraduate requirements we will be needing 78 to 88% depending upon the courses that the student is applying
From cbsc ICC and West Bal boards uh we are looking for 83 to 93% depending again on the subject from all other boards we do take uh students application from a level and IV levels as well and this is our entry requirement so we are looking for 6.5 overall and
Six in each bands we do provide BOS uh from cbsc and ICC we are looking for 75% and above and the class 12th exam should be taken within five years of you know application we do need we do provide wavers for few of the state um vots as
Well that is Andra Pradesh Goa Karnataka Kerala Maharashtra Tamil Nadu and West Bengal but uh requirement is little higher around 80% uh in English and we do not provide waivers for Gujarat harana Jammu Kashmir and Punjab boards and obviously the scholarships so for postgraduate students we do provide
20% of flat scholarship for all our courses except courses under the department of sports and Art and Design uh we have just launched Global impact scholarship wherein the students are eligible for 50 to 100% of scholarship the deadline to apply for the same is 30th of April we will be talking more on
This particular scholarship in our coming slides uh for the first scholarship that is 20% the student don’t have to make an application separately the it’s automatically that the student would be evaluated along with their application for undergraduate we are offering 25% of scholarship for all the ug courses based on the
Academics and the qualifications uh so as I told you for this particular year we are offering global impact scholarship wherein the students are eligible for 52 100% of scholarships and the student have to submit an additional application for the same and they have to write a separate essay or kind of personal statement
Wherein they have to demonstrate their academic excellence and potential they have to talk about their professional work experience and any kind of extra co-curricular activities that they have done uh also we are looking for students who have contributed in Social or econom IC development of their Town Country
University or maybe a society any kind of work that they have done they have to mention on that also uh the personal statement should be able to justify any kind of skills or knowledge that they are seeking to acquire in future with the studies that they are going to
Apply and through the application they also have to submit the financial statement along with the application or the process of appli application for all our courses is pretty straight uh all our courses are at lafra campus is open only for October uh in our London campus we do have
Courses wherein we take application October and January twice a year uh most of our courses into sports business analytics Art and Design will close early around in June and the courses within engineering and business will remain open till end of August uh General turnaround time is 1
To two weeks uh but the courses that requires portfolio evaluation or interview it might take longer so it’s and anyways the student has to go for cast and they have to wait for the Visas as well so it’s always advisable to apply uh early in the cycle so that they
Have time and hand to proceed ahead with their further processes our cast deposit is around 2,500 payable through flyover and these are our details so Bill and sanjun is based out of uh University in UK you can reach out to them uh me and my colleague kushu are

For September 2024 intake and if any scholarship is available okay so for September 24 uh if it is not business analytics Art and Design we will keep open till August uh but for all other courses which is ranked within Sports Art and Design and business analytics we will be closing on
Somewhere around June maybe only June or towards the middle of June uh how schs are open yes sorry to interrupt you were saying something that’s fine so scholarships are open uh if you’re looking for Global impact scholarship we have a deadline on 30th of April and you must have an offer
Before that and if the course require any kind of evaluation in terms of portfolio and interview I will advise you to apply in March because we will take a little more time for evaluating the application under that se uh how big is the Indian Community at lug
University so we are very very diverse in that terms um we have a separate uh Team for that we have almost 20% of students coming from Asia um so I cannot give you exact number on the same but if you want I can connect you with the teams that we have for indan
Support for intern naal student is there any is there any help to find jobs in the UK after graduation or during the studies uh so we have a very very strong career development team and we do and also a international support team that works specifically for the international
Students uh you will be provided with four to five uh you know uh portals like handshake um grad right we have uh you know uh student circus wherein the students are continuously updated with any kind of part-time jobs internships uh projects life cases and obviously the
Sponsored jobs so yes you will find lot of support in terms of workshops grooming uh in terms terms of you know how to meet the employers how to make an application you see the preparation so everything for that we have a dedicated team yes you will get lot of support in that
Terms the next question is how do you select applic what aspect do you look for in an application uh so obviously academics is going to be the first priority depending upon the course that the student have applied and any relevant work experience will be an added Advantage uh so yes based on
Academics okay until it is Art and Design where in the portfolio plays a major major part or you know courses like human interaction to design wherein we have to see the skill set of the student as well uh until these kind of courses we will be looking at academics
As a major criteria and any kind of relevant experience yes okay what is the fee structure of MBA or is there any scope of scholarship so our MBA fee structure is around £ 33,000 we do have uh scholarships that range from you know this scholarship is not the same we have
Around 40% of scholarship waer for the tution fees the student have to apply separately uh so once you get an offer we will reach out to you uh in terms of email with the options that you have yes scholarships are available for all the management courses does the University provide work visa post
MBA uh so University will not provide uh after completing if you are enrolling for September 24 you are eligible for two years of PSW where and we have dedicated team which can help you for applying for the same but you are eligible for two years of post study work

Application only in the cycle probably March end because we have you know this Global impact scholarship wherein you are eligible for at least 50 to 100% of scholarship which is a major major amount when you are looking for this kind of high rank University uh so you
