Was a world epidemic which killed off 15 million people more than 150,000 dying in the British Isles alone at present it takes one egg to produce one full dose of antiflu vaccine but cheaper methods are being sought meanwhile at this laboratory and many others the battle

  1. Wow, 16, 4x twins. The O'Hares. My dad was one of 11, 9 lived past 3. Back in the 50s. That was in Dublin though. The neighbor had 21. Her favorite moved to Birmingham and was murdered working the oldest trade. They never had the heart to tell her. Instead the old biddy made it to 96 hoping she'd one day turn up with the post. Though some relief was provided in the last decade or so as her memory faded and they could add a bit of fiction. Some would say lying to the elderly is wrong. It is. But i did it with my Nana too. We used to play along as she went to the BBC proms in the front room. Wed set up the chairs, rearrange things and dress up. My aunt would dress her up with her hand bag, and we'd have to be on our best behavior for hours. I'd sit behind and read or use my walkmen. She'd light up. Alzheimer's taught me a lot about family history as the decades mixed together. I may have been 6 different young men from different decades when I lived with her. I was only 16. It was difficult but i got to know her as a real person rather than an elderly woman bed ridden. Through the episodes I understood her through her different ages.
