I bought the entire bike for 75 bucks from the original owner: crummy oxidised components typical of the mass production bike boom of the era. 27″ steel rims. Stripped it down, cleaned the frame, revealed excellent condition paint with a few scratch-outs into bare steel. All new components less the fork, stem & drops. NOS French headset.

Photo taken on Bear Creek Rd in Briones, CA. Other 2 at the Orinda BART where I stared this 22 miler, my pastime. The bike handles superbly given its limitations

Wheel set: Sun M13, Campy Record hubs–
Crank & ring: Mojo Alchemy (51/16)– Post & saddle: Origin8, Fizik

Yep. I use a 160mm crank set, and sure as hell watch my cornering. The bottom bracket itself I replaced with a 103mm IRD quad, and swapped out the English cups for the swiss versions. In spite of the problem, it gives for a really comfortable ride and I plan on using it for longer tours.
