Hey there Reddit family! I’m still a freshman when it comes to road biking as I’ve only been doing a couple dozen rides over the past few years. Longest I’ve done so far is around 30mi, 2,600 ft, in around 2.5hrs in Acadia NP. My day rides are usually around 15-20mi and I handle them well, I say I average around 14-16mph casual.
I want to take the next step and tour on my bike. I plan on doing Trek Across Maine (180mi over three days) this year but really I’d like to try touring around Nova Scotia!
Id have 12 full days off. It would take me 8.5hr to drive to Halifax, which I think would be a good starting point so that burns two days right there. That leaves 9-10 days of biking.
What would be a realistic loop that I could do that would cover what Nova Scotia really has to offer for sights, views, food and beer, and appropriate roads?
