Has anyone experience in this?
I might have ordered the wrong type of rims for my tyres at hand.
I ordered 23mm Rims ( DT Swiss E1800 23) originally intended for my racing wheelset.
Now I am thinking about using them as the main gravel / bikepacking wheelset.
The Gravel Tyres I already have are G-One Allround 40mm and I would like to use them on the 23mm Rims.
From what I have found out the E1800 are recommended by DT Swiss to ride with max 34mm. Though [here](https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/specials/rim-width-test#cx-gravel) they tested 36mm on 18mm tyres.

Following. I just installed a 50mm on 19mm rims. I thought my case was in the beyond-the-recommended-but-might-be-OK range.

A 23mm inner rim width can according to the ERTO/ISO standard handle 25-71mm tyres.
25-70 mm are fine with 23mm rims but the best deflection behavior you will get if you aim for about twice the rim size in tire with.
I think these wheels have a 20mm internal width. The 23mm refers to the depth of the rim.
Check the previously mentioned Schwalbe chart for compatibility.
