My rear derailleur has suffered from a weak motor, and I need to replace it. The bike started as a road bike but I’m slowly converting it to an all-road/winter thing to tackle rough lanes and hard pack gravel adventures. I’ve seen a good deal on a GRX di2 mech and am wondering if the two are interchangable. Yes, you can.
However, the RX817 is “1x only”, and its total capacity reflects that.
Di2 wise it’ll work with a front derailleur just fine, but there is a chance that you cannot set up synchro shift.
