I currently own a Specialized Allez Elite (105) 2022, it’s served me well as my first road bike. However, I’ve been contemplating upgrading from aluminum to a carbon frame. If I’m investing a significant amount, I want something somewhat future-proof. Should I make the jump now, or wiser to wait until these newer models go on sale?
* [Canyon Ultimate CF SL7](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bikes/race-bikes/ultimate/cf-sl/ultimate-cf-sl-7-di2/3556.html?dwvar_3556_pv_rahmenfarbe=R101_P01) \- $3,600
* Pros: Latest Di2 105, Integrated cables, Power meter, nice colors
* Cons: 6 Yr Warranty, No LBS(but local shops would work on it), Aluminum wheels
* [TCR Advanced Pro Disc](https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/tcr-advanced-pro-disc-1-2022) 1 – $4,000
* Pros: Ultegra components, Power meter
* Cons: 2022 Model, 11spd, 11×30 cassette, No Di2, Non integrated cables, Giant Wheels(good or bad??), Later fancier model just released
* [Cervelo Soloist 105 Race](https://www.cervelo.com/en-US/bikes/soloist) \- $4,300
* Pros: Latest 105 12spd, Reserve Carbon Wheels, LBS, Looks awesome
* Cons: Pricey for 105 and no Di2
\*(I looked and test drove the Tarmac but $4,500 seems silly for crappy R470 aluminum rims and Specialized name printed on side of the bike.)
