Been riding this hub for two or three years. Literally my 10th or so session I stsrted having issues with it not engaging. It’s VERY hit or miss. Had 2 good weeks straight of riding everyday this year, no issues, but now it’s back to the bullshit. Anyone else having this issue?

Likely the planetary clutch has failed. They’re not indestructible, and are made from a nylon type plastic so wear is likely. Take the hub apart have a check before anything else.
Did you tighten both cone nuts? They can come loose and problems like this start to happen. I’ve had one for 3 years and that’s the only problem it’s had for me really I just use some loctite. The clutch in it needs to be compressed tight for it to work properly I guess.
I’ve had this problem, watched the videos saying to take it apart and wipe excess grease off, that didn’t work, tighten cone nuts that didn’t work. Alienation email response a month later said to wipe excess grease off, didn’t work.
Here’s what I did. I took it apart and disassembled the clutch again. There is a metal piece that goes in the middle, kind of looks like a top hat with no top. Spin it around your finger and you can feel the grease, now wash it with soap and water. If you spin it around your finger you will feel it have more friction. Take a bit of dry lube and put it on a paper towel and lightly put it on where the brim part of the top hat is. I didn’t and it squeaked the lube gets rid of squeaking. Worked for me. I’ve found if I can’t hear the cassette sound it’s not right.
