Are these all used? I’d be asking about maintenance history to determine how much I’ll have to funnel into it. My friend bought a visually great used bike at a great price and the crankset broke after two rides.

  2. Pay close attention to the wheelset and the groupset. Check the chainrings for wear and tear. Do searches on the wheelsets and see what their reviews are . Could be you have a bike in there with an upgraded groupset or set of wheels that will make your decision clearer.

Inspect the frames around the saddle post, stem, bottom bracket and stays. Look for anything that could be signs of a wreck or potentially catastrophic failure.

Don’t worry so much about cables, chain, or saddle… All easily and/or affordably replaced.

  3. The last one. Has disc brakes and seems to have room for fenders and decent tires.

absolutely do NOT buy the scattante or the gmc. Both are trash. Giant doesn’t make a bad machine. Cannondale likes to make their shit so light that they break easily. (Crackenfail)

Fuji mostly stands for Fuggin Ugly Junk Inc, but that cross bike looks pretty burl.

  5. Are these for commuting? You could get a bike for half that price that will be twice as useful than these for commuting.
