A man in his 70s was killed in a suspected DUI crash in Glendale.
23-year-old driver of a black BMW was driving westbound when he lost control of the vehicle, jumped the center divider and slammed head-on into a silver Honda that was driving eastbound on Glenoaks Blvd.

Crossed median and spun around, rear end moving forward at high speed into a Honda moving at high speed. Both vehicles did remarkably well for severity of crash. Lights still on in black vehicle. Amazing it did not explode.

The black car that came across and hit the silver one was clearly speeding and/or probably street racing. We need much tougher laws on extreme speeders. lifetime license ban, mandatory 1 year in jail if caught going 30mph over the limit.
This is really very sad. A poor soul's life lost due to another's carelessness and recklessness. How to RIP?

GLENDALE, CA – On Monday night, at approximately 8:24 p.m., Glendale patrol officers responded to a traffic collision on Glenoaks Blvd near Elm Street. The incident involved two vehicles, resulting in a fatality, significant injuries, and an arrest.
The initial phase of the investigation determined a black BMW lost traction while traveling westbound on Glenoaks Blvd at a high rate of speed. Subsequently, the car reversed over the center median into oncoming traffic on the eastbound lanes. The BMW collided with a silver Honda that was traveling eastbound on Glenoaks.
Tragically, the passenger in the silver Honda succumbed to their injuries almost instantaneously. The driver of the Honda sustained significant injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the BMW was identified as 23-year-old Karo Margarian of Glendale. Margarian was the sole occupant of the BMW and suffered head injuries. He was also transported to a local hospital.
Following medical treatment, Margarian was released from the hospital and taken into custody for felony reckless driving. Traffic investigators are still exploring additional charges. Margarian posted bail and was released pending further legal proceedings.
We are entering a phase where everyone grew up driving on a video game PLUS everyone has the ITS ALL ABOUT ME attitude.
